Christmas and Winter

I have been very lax in writing my blog over winter. Over Christmas I got the flu for several weeks and got out of the habit of writing, but now I am back and will tell you what I’ve been up to.

Despite having the flu, I made the most of Christmas. The Christmas dinner itself was unusual as it was the first one without my Gran as she passed away in early 2012. She was always the centre of the Christmas dinner and used to be host and cook for all the family. Even in later life, she heavily influenced the atmosphere at the table. Our first dinner without her being there was a little strange but we had a good time none the less.

After Christmas, the snow and cold weather arrived but again we made the most of it. One weekend we decided to go to Burley and do some sledging. It was good fun and made an otherwise cold and dull weekend a time to remember.
